Sjeng Schalken will defend his title at the Curaçao Tennis Legends on December 13 and 14. Schalken gets competition from the Belgian ‘bad boy’ Xavier Malisse at the center court of Curaçao.

Sjeng Schalken

For title defender Schalken it is the third time in a row at the Curaçao Tennis Legends. In the two previous editions, the Limburger always made the final. In 2017 he lost against the Chilean Fernando Gonzalez, but last year Schalken took the win thanks to a win over South African Wayne Ferreira.

Xavier Malisse

For Malisse it is his debut at the Curacao Tennis Legends. The Belgian was regarded as the 'bad boy' of tennis for many years, but with a place in the semi-finals at Wimbledon (2002), winning three ATP titles and the double play at Roland Garros (2004) he also proved to be a fantastic tennis player more than once.

Pro AM, golf day and clinics

Malisse and Schalken join seven-time Grand Slam winner Mats Wilander and audience favorite Henri Leconte. In addition to the games on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 December, the legends are also active during clinics for local tennis talents, a school visit and a Pro AM for sponsors. A special golf day on Saturday is also part of the program.
